Catherine Leahy Brine Educational Consultants was founded in 2000 by Catherine Leahy Brine as an answer to a need for alternative professional advancement programs for educators in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Since our founding we have grown to include a faculty comprised of experienced public school educators that are experts in their content, pedagogy, state and national standards for teachers. We offer both Initial and Professional License programs that are approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). We are a long time extended campus partner of Fitchburg State University and offer several of their degree programs for educators. Our programs have been virtual since March of 2020. Please explore our website and learn more about the multitude of programs and courses that we offer for educators in Massachusetts.

Why choose CLB Programs?

  • Advising:

We pride ourselves on having programs where candidates are strongly supported by individual advising beginning with the admissions process and is continuous until your program is complete. You will not find a program elsewhere with the access to the type of advising that we offer.

  • Practical

CLB was founded with the hopes of impacting teaching in real time by designing classes that are not only based on current research and best practices, but include practical applications that can be implemented in every candidate’s classroom immediately. Learn it on Monday and use it on Tuesday.

  • Faculty

All courses are taught by faculty with years of experience in public education.

  • Virtual

All programs are completely virtual using Zoom for synchronous classes and Canvas for asynchronous classes. We are designed for the working adult. All courses are held in the evenings. You can complete programs within 1-2 years or spread courses out to meet your needs.

  • Time Tested

We have twenty five years of proven experience under the same leadership with the same vision. Our programs have evolved over the years to align to current license requirements and the current needs of educators.
